THE HULME TUNE

Paul Ridyard presents The Hulme Tune
a monthly community radio show on ALL FM 96.9 for Hulme & Central Manchester
with great music and a sense of humour to have you laughing until lunch

Thank you for visiting this website for the show. The first Hulme Tune was broadcast on ALL FM 96.9 in January 2007. It was pre-recorded and I was a bit nervous when I did the second one end of February live. Since then it's been broadcasting every month. In that summer the show went out twice a month as there was so much happening and my Studio Assistant at that time was Julie-Anne Proudman, who did a great job in reading the "What's-ons".

My aim is to bring a show that will be entertaining, informative, interesting and funny. There have been so many negative reports about Hulme that we don't get to see much of the positive things which the local community work so hard to achieve.

ALL FM 96.9 community radio station is a great platform to bring the fun back and highlight the great things that go on. Studio guests have included singer/song writer Emma Black and Chanje Kunda who have been "Hulme Heroes" of the month. Hulme Heroes gives recognition to local people who are either contributing to the community or have a talent to be shared with our audience. It may be that a person has set up business and this itself is a positive step to motivate us all to aim high toward achieving the best for ourselves and our community. We need to proud of where we live!

I've been looking for a website for the show to share links, pictures, news & videos. Also, it has links to useful websites and interesting things.

I was born in Bolton and moved to Manchester in 1994. I did a course at Radio Regen in 2004 and volunteered on QT Radio run by CSV Media, who does the Action Desk at the BBC. I then joined ALL FM as a member of the volunteer staff in December 2006.
